To purchase on-line: From the home page please choose a category. Click the category picture which will then reveal the products on offer. Click more info for the larger picture and then click add to basket if you wish to purchase. Finally please view basket to conclude your purchase. If you have not already registered then please register at this stage.

Payment method

All on line purchases are made with either credit or debit card through WorldPay. No other payment method will be accepted for on-line sales. Please note purchases will not be despatched until payment has been received and processed.

Products ordered that are out of stock

We will contact you and provide a new despatch date. Should the new despatch date be unacceptable then you will be given a full refund.

Cancellation of order

Pre shipment: Please telephone us immediately to cancel the order. You will be given a cancellation log number which confirms the time, date and communication method used.

If the product has not been shipped then your card will be refunded.


Returns Policy

Cancellation of order Post shipment: Harlequin will refund or exchange purchases if returned within 7 working days from the date of signed for delivery. (Refer policy)

All returned items must be free of any damage and in a resalable condition. Sealed packaging must not be opened. Returned items must be in the original shipped condition with the original packaging intact. We cannot accept any returned item where the item or packaging has been damaged or lost.

Faulty goods

You should let us know within 7 working days from the date of signed for delivery if an item is faulty upon receipt. Returned items must be in the original condition with the original packaging. We cannot accept any returned item where the packaging has been lost.

Policy common to cancellation of order post shipment & faulty goods

Please note used items cannot be returned nor refunded.

The original postage costs will not be reimbursed.

Please contact us by phone for a Returns Number before dispatching the parcel back to us.

During the phone call you will be asked:

  • The reason for the return?
  • Your name, order number, address and postcode?
  • If the item has been used? (No refund nor replacement if item has been used)
  • If you would prefer a refund or exchange? (Please note item exchange is only available to UK Mainland Customers. Europe & International Customers, following returned item inspection and approval will receive a refund).

Returns must be made by recorded delivery so you have a 'proof' of posting for your record. Please return the goods, at your cost and risk, to Harlequin including the Returns Number and a copy of the original e-mail invoice or the delivery note. If the returns number is not included then delays will occur. Harlequin is not responsible for any goods being returned to us as responsibility rests with the sender. The returned goods must be received by us before any refund or exchange takes place. Goods not returned to us will not be refunded nor exchanged.

Harlequin will inspect the returned goods and packaging upon receipt and carry out an assessment. Refunds or item exchange can only be authorised following our inspection. Following our assessment we will either agree or not to a refund or item exchange. You will be notified by telephone or e-mail of our decision.

Refunds will usually be made within 30 days of the date of the returned item. Credit/debit card liabilities arising from a late refund will be the responsibility of the card holder. Exchanges once approved will be despatched immediately subject to stock availability. Harlequin will be under no obligation to refund nor exchange returned items received by them after 30 days from the date of signed for delivery.

In the event that the returned item falls outside the scope of this policy then the returned item will not be refunded nor exchanged. We will provide you with a written reason for any returned goods that we receive which we do not agree to refund or exchange. We are happy to return such items back to you at your request and postage cost otherwise they will be destroyed after 3 calendar months from their receipt at Harlequin.

Due to reasons of personal hygiene wigs, make-up, tights, teeth and facial hair and other goods of a personal nature cannot be returned or refunded.

Harlequin reserve the right to change, alter or amend any price. Should a product price decrease since an original purchase we are not obligated to refund the difference. Should an increase occur prior to purchase we are not obligated to sell at the previous price.

Costume Size

Fancy dress costumes are sized differently to everyday clothing. They are designed with elastic waistbands so that they fit a range of sizes. Monks, robes and many medieval outfits come with a belt for a snug fit. As a general rule costumes are slightly smaller in size than high street clothing.
